No two patients are the same so the frequency of sessions depends on your unique needs. Your physical therapist works with you to set the correct frequency for your therapy. The number of sessions is always based on your goals and needs.
Yes! Most health insurance plans offer direct access for up to 30 days. Direct access to physical therapy means patients can be evaluated and treated by a physical therapist without needing a practitioner or other healthcare provider's referral. In other words, direct access lets you visit a physical therapist when you feel you need to see one. You will need to verify with your insurance that they do not require you to have prior authorization before seeing a physical therapist in order for reimbursement by the insurance.
Your doctor can write you a “physician’s order,” which is a referral for physical therapy. If you get this preemptively it will speed up the process for you to be seen by a therapist in case your insurance requires prior authorization. It will also allow no gaps in the continuity of your care in case you need physical therapy past the 30 day mark when direct access expires and you need a physicians referral to continue to receive covered services. You can also call your insurance company and verify what physical therapy services they cover and the amount of treatment sessions they cover as all insurances differ slightly in PT coverage. This ensures no unexpected payments. If you have a HSA, verify what PT services may be eligible for reimbursement.
Absolutely, and we’d be honored to care for you or your loved one. Federal law gives patients the freedom to choose their health care provider. We are an outpatient physical therapy service that bills through Medicare part B. Make sure your physical therapy referral is not for a home health physical therapy company because that is billed with Medicare part A and would require a different provider and offers different PT services. We are an outpatient physical therapy service that drives to you and brings the equipment you need for your PT treatment sessions to your home.
Medicare, Medicaid, Aetna, United Health Care, Cigna
Yes! We should finalize up the credentialing process with Humana, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Tricare soon! If you are interested in working with us and have an insurance not listed please send us a message and we will look into the credentialing process for that insurance.
It is outpatient physical therapy provided in the home! A doctor of physical therapy drives out to your home to perform an initial evaluation where they will give you a physical therapy diagnosis, prognosis, and plan of care. They will then revisit your home to provide rehabilitation treatments or schedule follow-up virtual appointments with you depending on your plan of care. The therapist working with you will bring all the necessary equipment to your rehabilitation appointments. Often sessions may be a combination of exercises, balance training, manual therapy, and education.
A HIPPA compliant virtual platform allows you to schedule safe visits with your health care provider from the comfort of your home. At Life Cycle Physical Therapy we offer a cash based virtual wellness coaching program to help you achieve all your health and wellness goals. Each appointment is tailored to your specific concerns/goals. It differs from personal training in that the service is provided by a doctor of physical therapy so it will consist of holistic health education on all the body systems that contribute to mobility (musculoskeletal, nervous system, cardiopulmonary system, integumentary system, gastrointestinal system, vestibular and visual system) and general nutritional advice, along with a customized home exercise program.
Equipment may include: blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, pulse oximetry, gait belt, PT folding table, weights (various sizes), resistance bands, swiss ball, steps, stretching straps, cones, sport drill ladder, and various other equipment.
Please send an email with your financial questions and your phone number to billing@lifecyclept.org. They will respond promptly!
